He is extremely professional and knowledgeable not only on local customs and traditions and history but also on the endemic fauna and flora you will likely encounter along the way. My clients all loved him and he will go above and beyond to help in any way he can. His English is also impeccable. From arranging vehicles and more specialist guides to getting exclusive access to villages and off the beaten track camp sites there is nothing this man can't handle. In a country which is notoriously difficult to travel independently or even in a group, a man such as KB is the most valuable asset you can have.

  Wonderful Ethiopian experience - I spent 3 nights in Addis and on the first day KB took my crew and I for the city tour. The first day was a wonderful introduction to the... read more city and way of life of the people.
The next day we did the UNESCO tour which included most of the heritage and historic findings of archeologist over the years.

My last day was a trip out of the busy city and to the lake Hora, which was a two hr drive. It offered beautiful scenery along the way and a short boat ride on the lake.
This was rather refreshing for me since the previous days were spent on site seeing.

My overall experience was one of a kind. I would definitely recommend KB as a tour guide since he is very knowledgable about his country. He is also a kind and humble individual who was willing to share his culture with his guests which made my journey in Ethiopia even better.

  I traveled to Ethiopia for Spring Break with two of my best friends, and we had the absolute best time in Lalibela, Gondar, the Simien Mountain Region, and Addis Ababa.... read more KB knew an incredible amount of information about Ethiopian culture, and he made sure to tailor our tours to what he thought we might want to know and do. In Lalibela, we saw the most beautiful, inconceivable monolithic basalt rock-cut churches, and KB explained everything about how they came to be, and how they're different from one another (I loved learning about the art; I'm an art history major). On one of our hikes in the Simiens, we got within a meter of the cutest gelada monkeys, which I'd never have imagined we would do. KB was hilarious; we laughed the entire time!! We are a group of three silly college kids, and you could tell how perfect the tour was for us, and how perfectly different it would have been for another group that might have been a different audience. KB is the best! Definitely recommend!
