The day begins with picking you up from your hotel and meeting with your tour guide. Embark on a leisurely full-day tour of Addis Ababa.
The city’s National Museum exhibits prehistoric fossils, including replicas of the early hominid [Lucy], along with art and traditional crafts. The ethnographic museum has a wealth of fascinating displays exploring the cultures of South Omo.
We continue our visit to Entoto Mountain where you will see the vast parts of Addis Ababa from an impressive viewpoint, nature, birdwatching, and authentic local way of life. You will explore the historic Church & Museum and Menelik’s palace at a pick altitude of 3,200m. On our way back, we make a short stop at Shiromeda textile market, where you meet with the world’s famous traditional textile craftsmen.
Walking around the old town of Piassa will give you a chance to explore more about the city’s way of life and people. Finally, we head to Merkato, where you can spend 1-2 hours in deep Africa’s largest open-air market and experience the country’s distinct market activity.
